The Internet is full of 30-day fitness challenges, but are they really safe?

Online challenges have a lot of faults, says Neeraj Mehta, director of Fitness Alive and technical head of GFFI Fitness Academy. “How do you know which exercise is right for you according to your body type and blood group? These things are never answered,” he says. Plus, no one is there to guide you with correct postures and movements, which means there’s a high risk of injuries.

Mehta says that pushing your muscles without a personalized plan based on your fitness level is simply asking for trouble. “Not only do you need to see the endurance level of your muscles, but also of your heart,” he explains. “If the heart is unable to sustain the physical challenge, it can even lead to cardiac arrests.”

If you stop the exercising as abruptly as you started it, however, you’ll get squishier than you were before, says Mehta. “So you need to continue exercising.”

There is a reason we have got a whole month dedicated to heart health. Heart disease has become one of the leading causes of death because of the sedentary lifestyles we lead. There are several lifestyle modifications you can make to improve your health, but having a healthy breakfast is critical.

Why breakfast is the most important meal of the day?

Even if you are pressed for time in the morning make sure that you never skip your breakfast. A healthy breakfast will boost your energy and bolster your metabolism and aid weight loss.

Most importantly it will lower the levels of bad cholesterol in your body which will in turn will reduce your risk of getting a heart attack. However, make sure you skip these 10 worst breakfast items.
How skipping breakfast affects your heart health?

If you are regularly skipping your breakfast, you may put a strain on your body that over time can lead to blood pressure and insulin resistance that can then lead to heart disease.

Neeraj Mehta, Nutritionist, GFFI Fitness Academy says, ‘When you skip breakfast regularly, you become 27 percent more likely to suffer from coronary heart diseases as compared to those who have a healthy meal in the morning. Plus, skipping breakfast could also make you prone to obesity and high cholesterol, all of which increase the chances of suffering from a heart condition.’ Here are three healthy breakfast ideas to kick start your day.

To stay in shape

Our body is a temple and we must take every effort to maintain it properly and efficiently. By incorporating exercise into our daily routine we can improve our fitness and if we do it right, exercise can work wonders for our bodies, internally and externally.

However, I have heard many people who exercise complain of their joints
being strained or injured while doing a particular exercise or even say that they have reduced flexibility due to weight training. These are some of the common problems I hear, but very few ever try to understand as to what the reason for the problem might be.

Exercises are supposed to enhance your body and health in a positive
manner and not affect you in a negative way. If you are getting some kind of
adverse effect while doing the exercises, that means you are doing something wrong.

Basic stuff

When you do a particular movement it is essential to follow correct body
mechanics. With this in mind, I have devised a biomechanical way of exercise termed as BMXStrength or Biomechanics strength technique.

Anybody can exercise

Zumba  and Kick boxing is starting from 5th September.
Call on +919811309667 for enrollment

Daily exercise is the key to a healthy body, mind and soul. It will make you feel better, and open up a whole new way of life for you. It has been proven that exercise is a form of preventive medicine.
Today, virtually every form of medical science recognises these basic truths:
Simple exercise can have profound healing effects.
Specific “physical activities” can help fight illness and enhance health.
It helps you improve your mood.
It keeps your energy level up.
Exercise is a holistic approach to maintain overall health.
Being a fitness therapist, I have come across many people who think that they cannot exercise.
They give me endless lists of reasons (I am not including “I don’t have time” — this is not a reason, just an excuse) and most of their reasons are pure myths.

Myth 1 — My knee hurts
People, especially seniors, fear that some exercises like squats or lunges will harm their knees.
If your joints feel strained or pained after any sort of movement, that means you are not doing it right.
Another fact is that squats are very effective in strengthening your knee joints, provided you do them right.

Myth 2 — My blood pressure will go up if I walk on the treadmill
Low impact cardio activities such as walking really have positive effects on your blood pressure.
Walking on a regular basis will help you in regulating your blood pressure. Ask your doctor, I am sure you will get the same advice.

Myth 3 — My child is too young to work out; it will interrupt his/her growth
Children can start working out as early as they can start walking and handle their routine stuff.
Involving them in a few physical activities will be one of the best habits you can inculcate in them.
Quite contrary to the popular myth, exercising is really beneficial for growing children.
