“Energy matters” By Fitness Expert & Nutritionist Neeraj Mehta

During exams, many students struggle with concentration issues. Eating healthy, along with the right amount of exercise, is the answer. Because a healthy mind lives in a healthy body.

So, never skip breakfast. In fact, your breakfast should be the most important meal of the day. Eating three traditional, heavy meals tend to make one lethargic; try dividing your meals into five or six small portions instead. It is not recommended to follow any strict diet routine during exams. But, you should try to eat healthy and light foods, which will help keep you active.

Weight lose battle v/s socializing By Fitness Expert and nutritionist Neeraj Mehta

Oscar Wilde once said he could resist anything except temptation and everybody who is trying to loose the weight knows, once you are out in town, temptation abounds. In India FOOD is celebration. Every occasion is celebrated with food. Whether it is a festival, party, function, you are on date, out with guys, there is going to be food, Good Food. Food you cannot resist. Food which makes you break all the rules of healthy eating. We know it clearly that every invitation is a hidden second invitation to eat fat. But being a social animal we can't just say no to every invitation and we don't want to appear too picky and we cant resist the temptation. OMG!!! That is quiet too much. Well I have face these issue for years and I figured out ways which helped me a lot in keeping up with my diet schedule and I don't miss any social gathering for food reasons now.
  • Begin with soup.
  • Look for something green.
  • If a food item is overly dressed , its a red signal of too much fat.
  • Take a small plate, you will automatically take less food.
  • Eat slowly , be with like minded friends, Enjoy the occasion.
  • Eat something at home, do not go empty stomach. When you will be full your mind will not be attracted towards food.

“Cool Facts about Testosterone” By Fitness Expert and nutritionist Neeraj Mehta

Here we've put down some surprising facts about the hormone testosterone-

• Testosterone can help shrink your belly- Yes, you read that right! Researcher Adrian Dobs from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine has revealed how there was a decrease in the abdominal obesity in men, when they were given testosterone.

• Women in love have a higher testosterone level- Yet another shocker; women who have just started with a relationship tend to have higher testosterone levels in the initial months than women who are single or are in a long-term relationship.

• Too much testosterone can shrink the testicles- Men who take performance boosters and synthetic testosterone have a risk of suffering from shrunken testicles and growing breasts, not to mention aggression, mood swings and acne.

• Money-making affects testosterone levels- According to British researchers, young men experience a spike in their testosterone levels on days where they make an above-average profit.

• Fat can reduce testosterone levels- Experts believe that obese men are more likely to suffer from lower testosterone levels than thin men; and this is because of the presence of inflammatory factors along with fat cells, which suppress the synthesis of testosterone.

“Healthy benefits of coconut” By Fitness Expert and nutritionist Neeraj Mehta

Coconut is high in saturated fat, but more than half of that comes from lauric acid, a unique lipid that battles bacteria and improves cholesterol scores. And get this: A study published in Lipids found that dietary supplementation of coconut oil actually reduced abdominal obesity. Of the participants, half were given two tablespoons of coconut oil daily and the other half were given soybean oil, and although both groups experienced overall weight loss, only the coconut oil consumers’ waistlines shrunk. Sprinkle unsweetened flakes over yogurt or use coconut milk in a stir-fry to start whittling your waist.

”Have you had the bulletproof coffee?”, By Fitness Expert Neeraj Mehta

Says nutritionist Neeraj Mehta, "It has very little nutritional value. Bulletproof coffee does not have any other nutrients except healthy fat. It can increase triglycerides and reduce HDL, which could lead to a lot of health challenges." Since it contains large amounts of fat, which elevates the ketone levels in the blood, it provides you plenty of energy for at least 4-5 hours. This kills your appetite, ensuring you don't eat intermittently.

”Get off the weight plateau”, By Fitness Expert NEERAJ MEHTA

The whole weight issue can be a genetic problem. Some people are apparently able to eat whatever they like, in whatever amounts and yet not gain weight. Others spend a lifetime fighting excessive weight, while appearing to eat very modest amounts. This has got to do with two hormones. Leptin regulates body fat and controls appetite. The stimulation of leptin shuts off your hunger and stimulates you to burn more calories. Ghrelin, on the other hand, sends signals to eat.
